Sick Children

Even though your child may want to come; school is not the place for your child if they are sick.

Runny noses, temperatures, cold sores, open sores or discharge from ears, eyes or noses are all indicators of possible infectious conditions.

As well as risking the infection of others, your child is placed at risk of further infection at a time when their immunity is already low.  Please keep your child at home at such times.

If your child becomes ill during the day, you will be notified to come and collect them so they can receive the care and attention they need when ill.  If you work outside the home and may find it difficult to come and collect your child if required, please make  arrangements with an alternative person prior to the commencement of school.  It can be quite distressing for a child if they are left in the sick room for long periods.
