Known for the towering volcanic plugs that overlook the coast, Glass House Mountains also plays a huge part in the supply of fresh fruit and vegetables to Australian homes.
Pineapple, avocado, custard apple, strawberry and macadamia farms still grace the landscape of Glass House Mountains, although many have given way to housing estates.
Glass House Mountains is situated on the main rail line that leads to both northern & southern Queensland.
Glass House Mountains is proud of its indigenous heritage and the local information centre has some amazing items on display.
