At Prep we encourage parents to provide healthy lunches and snacks for their children.  All classes are encouraged to have a fruit break during the morning session.  Parents are asked to supply a small piece of fruit for their child to have during this break.

Here are some ideas for lunches that we have seen:

  • Salad sandwiches/breadrolls/lavash bread and wraps
  • Crackers, vegetables, cheese or cream cheese
  • Tubs of yoghurt/fruit/custard
  • Fresh Fruit - bananas, grapes, melon, orange, apple, pear, mandarin
  • Small savoury muffins
  • Rice crackers, rice snacks, pretzels
  • Kabana, cheese, crackers
  • Cheerios, twiggy sticks, cheese sticks, cheese slices with gherkins
  • Biscuits and dip
  • Corn thins/rice thins
  • Chopped vegetables - carrots sticks, celery sticks, capsicum, cucumber, broccoli, cherry tomatoes
  • Dried fruits - sultanas, apricots
  • Leftovers - pizza, pasta and mince, pasta and sauce
  • Mini quiche
