In the teaching of Science at our school, it is recognised that students are innately curious about their world and explore it in a variety of ways.
From an early age students use their physical, social and cultural experiences to make sense of the phenomena around them.
We recognise that students may develop alternative ideas and ways of learning. This we encourage by developing strategies to access students' ideas and promote learning to assist students to reflect on their understanding, develop in students' scientific understandings and assist students to apply these scientific understandings.
