Glass House Mountains State School has a Special Education Program (SEP) to provide additional support to students with intellectual, speech-language impairment and autistic spectrum disorders.  Students with physical, hearing and vision impairments are supported through the SEP and are eligible for access from Advisory Visiting Teachers, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.

Students are enrolled in an age-appropriate class.  Their programs are implemented in a variety of environments - classroom, special education room, playground, community and at home.

An Individual Student Program (ISP) may be developed to focus support on specific needs. ISP goals are developed by the team of people who work with the student.  Special education teachers and teacher aides support students across the entire school site.
