2023 Book Week and Book Fair
Each year since 1945 the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has brought children and books together across Australia through CBCA Book Week. During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators.
In 2023 GHMSS Book week and Book fair will commence in Week 7 (21st - 25th August). Our library and classroom teachers create colourful displays, develop activities, run competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading.
The theme for 2023 is "Read, Grow, Inspire". We will have exciting new books to read and explore to let your imagination take you to places.
There will be a Character Parade held on Friday, 25th August commencing at 8.30am so make sure you've got your costume ready.
