The Humanities and Social Science subjects provide a broad understanding of the world in which we live, and how people can participate as active an dinformed citizens with high level skills needed for the twenty-first century."   (Australian Curriculum)

At Glass House Mountains State School, we follow the Australian Curriculum to deliver a variety of diverse units in HASS from Prep to Year 6.  We endeavour to produce confident leaders who are able to access a variety of skills to become thoughtful and life-long learners who contribute to our society with a positive view towards the future, from an appreciation and understanding of the past.

In the Australian Curriculm, the Humanities and Social Sciences learning area comprises four subjects:  History, Geography, Economics and Business, Civics and Citizenship.  These subjects are taught according to Grade Level, as directed by the curriculum.
